Session Timing:

To maximize results, treatment frequency and timing are critical:

Begin sessions 2–3x per week starting when stimulation medications begin (or at the start of a natural IUI cycle)

Add a session the day before or day of the trigger shot

For IVF patients: Pre- and post-transfer acupuncture sessions are recommended. We can travel to your fertility clinic on transfer day for on-site support

After transfer or insemination:

Next session is 5–6 days post-transfer/insemination

Resume sessions 8 days after insemination or transfer window

Your first prenatal visit provides you with a 90-minute one-on-one session with our prenatal physician. Your session starts with an assessment and discussion of your current pregnancy journey, concerns and questions you may have. Our physician will provide you with a trimester-by-trimester view of care and support to be provided followed by your first one-of-a-kind treatment!

- 1st trimester: Increase the foundation for a healthy pregnancy. Alleviate and prevent morning sickness, vomiting, fatigue and headaches.

- 2nd trimester: Create balance and relief from common complains by alleviating and preventing heartburn, hemorrhoids, stress, sleep problems, edema, elevated blood pressure and weight gain.

- 3rd trimester: Preparing the body for labor and delivery. Alleviate and prevent sciatica, hip, joint, pubic and back pain.

This special service provides onsite acupuncture at your fertility clinic—timed precisely to support your embryo transfer. Research shows that acupuncture performed immediately before and after transfer can improve implantation rates, increase blood flow to the uterus, and promote a calm, receptive environment for embryo development.

We coordinate directly with your transfer schedule to ensure seamless support, whether it’s a fresh or frozen embryo transfer.

Fertility LLLT (Cold Laser Therapy)
A Gentle, Non-Invasive Approach to Enhance Your Fertility

At RUHE Fertility + Prenatal, we’re proud to offer Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)—a research-backed, pain-free treatment that uses red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular activity, improve circulation to the ovaries and uterus, and support overall reproductive health.

This therapy can be used on its own or in combination with fertility treatments such as IUI or IVF. Many of our patients see improvements in egg quality, endometrial thickness, and overall hormone balance.

You May Benefit From LLLT if You:
-Have poor egg quality or low AMH

-Have high FSH or low ovarian reserve

-Are over 37 and trying to conceive

-Have PCOS, endometriosis, or ovulatory disorders

-Experience painful or irregular cycles

-Have a history of abdominal surgery or D&C

-Struggle with thin uterine lining during IVF cycles

-Are preparing for IVF or frozen embryo transfer

-All patients must first complete a Virtual or In-Person Comprehensive Fertility Consultation before starting treatment.

Treatment Schedule:
LLLT is recommended twice weekly from Cycle Day 3 to Day 14 (or until confirmed ovulation).

Not Eligible for LLLT?
We offer Infrared + Red Light Therapy as an alternative for those with contraindications.

Immediate Support for Patients Actively Undergoing IVF or IUI

If you’ve already started your IVF or IUI stimulation medications (also known as “stims”), this session is for you. This 75-minute appointment includes a focused fertility consultation to review where you are in your cycle and treatment protocol, followed by a personalized acupuncture session designed to support your current phase and maximize your response.

We’ll also discuss key timing for future sessions and any additional supportive therapies, such as Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), infrared, or herbal supplementation, if appropriate.
